Master-3D-Print and metal miniature
The starting point are STL-files, which are used to create 3D-prints.
The models are printed in 1/200 scale and combine excellent details with special structures. Some elements were made more robust, so parts would not break off while moving the miniatures in the Tabletop-game. Other elements were highlighted to make it more easy to paint the miniatures.
Below on left side the high-quality resin-3D-print is shown. On the right side the cast metals are shown.

STEP 4: UPPER SURFACE
The Zero is painted completely in light grey. So also the upper surface is painted with Valleyo SKY GREY. By using the dry-brush-technique the cockpit strutting can be highlighted easily. The engine cowling is painted with Citadel ABADDON BLACK and the propeller with Valleyo PLATA SILVER.
The upper surface of the Warhawk was painted with Valleyo US OLIVE DRAB.
Details, like the wheels on the lower surface were painted with Citadel ABADDON BLACK and the guns and exhausts with Valleyo GUN METAL.
STEP 6: DECALS
miscmini.com offers a huge number of historic accurate decals for 1/200-scale models.
Mitsubishi A6M2, Carrier KAGA, PO1c Yoshikazu Nagahama
The planes of the Kaga use 2 vertical red striped on the fuselage.
Nagahama flew his A6M2 with the ID-number "AII-109" in the Attack on Pearl Harbor, during the Attack on Port Darwin, during the Indian Ocean Raid and during the Battle of Midway.
During the Attack on Port Darwin Nagahama became an ace in one single sortie. First he shot down a single PBY-5 Catalina. Then he encountered a formation of five P-40. Although outnumbered 1 to 5 he attacked the P-40 and singlehandedly shot down 4 of them .
During the Battle of Midway Nagahama was part of the CAP of the japanese carriers and took part in the complete destruction of the attacking TBD Devastators of the USS Hornet. But soon the US divebombers sunk all japanese carriers. So Nagahama had to ditch near a japanese ship and was rescued.
After Midway he was reassigned to the carrier ZUIKAKU and took part in the battles of the Eastern Solomons and Santa Cruz Islands. He raised his score to 13.
After the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands he was transferred to Japan and reassigned to the Tsuiki Air Group. Nagahama died on September 6th 1943 in a flying accident.
