Simple dogfight between 2 P-40 Warhawks (Regular pilots) against 2 A6M2 Zero (Elite pilots)

Summary: 1 P-40 shot down, 1 P-40 left with 1 hitpoint, 2 Zeros shot down.

No special maneuvers used in this scenario. Japanese side was a little bit unlucky regarding hit-rolls (multiple double-1 rolled).

After this test game the Elite pilot advantages were reduced.

MIDWAY - Attack of the Hiryu

Test of a torpedo-bomber attack against an US-aircraft-carrier.

3 B5N2 Torpedo-bomber of the Hiryu against 2 F4F Wildcats.

Summary: All B5N2 shot down, but 2 of them managed to hit successfully the carrier with thier torpedos.

1 F4F was shot down by the rear gunners (the B5N2 has no weapons shooting forward).

Special maneuvers were used in this scenario. One F4F shot down a B5N after a successful Immelmann-maneuver.

After this test game the reduced speed of the torpedo bombers was raised by 1. Also the torpedo drop requirements were adjusted. Now the torpedobomber needs to fly at least 2 fields in straight line before the drop. The torpedo can run 3 a distance of hexes.

CORAL SEA - Attack of the LEXINGTON against the ZUIKAKU

Test of a torpedo-bomber attack and a dive-bomber attack against a japanese aircraft-carrier.

1 Devastator of the USS Lexington against A6M2 Zero of the Zuikaku,

2 Dauntless to test a dive bomber attack.

Summary: Devastator shot down. Dauntless achieved 2 dive-bomb-hits.

After this test game no adjustments were needed.
